Nate was at the Five Rails—a bar located in Old Alren, the area nearest the junkyard.  He looked up at the glow-light sign on the back wall of the bar, with its five horizontal lines across it.  He sighed and picked up his glass to roll the last sip of alcohol around the bottom.  What used to be a promising chase had now come to a stand-still.  Nate was waiting for Oaker to call him back about the security footage at the shipyards. However, something else had interested him to pass the time until his expected call.  Apparently, there was a local drunk who had seen something two weeks ago.  A ghost of a boy or something and he ran back

Alren was hot with the news about the night of the Megan Massacre.  It was awful—the vessel crashed into the shipyard with an entire crew of dead and dying in her cargo hold.  And not to mention that unspeakable evil they had found in the cockpit.  It was the work of a true monster.  It was apparently all the work of one boy named Deklan Calloway, as he was the only one arrested.  His sentence wasn’t final, but there was talk about the death penalty.   When Ollen Douglas, Megan’s navigator, called in about the hijacking, there was one investigator from the capitol in Alren during that time̵
